Passage Data
Terms
The terms for using passage-data.com, its pages, its workbench, and its tools for AI assistants and programs at https://passage-data.com/mcp and /api/v1/. In effect from 16 October 2026. Using the site or the tools means you accept them.
What the service is
Passage Data reads environmental limits, species designations and permits from public law and public agency files, and gives each row with its cite: the instrument, its edition, the section or page, and a link to the source. The pages are free. The tools answer 100 calls a day without a key, and more with a free key.
What it is not
- It is not legal, engineering or regulatory advice. Whoever relies on a value owns that conclusion.
- A row missing here is missing from our sources, not from the law of the place. A place with no row may still have a limit.
- Check the cited source before relying on a value. Where our row and the source differ, the source governs.
Using it fairly
- Without a key, the tools answer 100 calls a UTC day. From one address they answer up to 30 requests every 10 seconds; past that they ask you to wait.
- Do not try to get around those limits, overload the service, or reach anything it does not offer.
- Do not present our rows as an agency's official publication. The law and the agency files belong to their authors; each row names its source.
Your files and licences
- Files you add to your sites in the workbench stay yours.
- A licence to a whole data file, such as a place's limits or a list of plants, is on terms we agree in writing.
No warranty
The service is provided as it is, without any warranty that it is complete, current or error-free. To the extent the law allows, Passage Data is not liable for any loss arising from its use.
Changes
We may change or stop the service, or these terms. A change to these terms is posted here with its new date.
