{"name":"Passage Data — cited environmental limits","version":"1.15.0","what":"Numeric environmental limits and guidelines (discharge, surface water, groundwater, drinking water, soil, ambient air, emissions) read from the regulations themselves. Every row cites its instrument, edition, section or page, the quoted text and the source file's URL and sha256. Also the status a species holds under the species registers we hold (US ESA, SARA, COSEWIC, provincial acts, IUCN, CITES, CMS, EU and UK schedules), each cited to the line the register prints. An empty answer is a coded refusal naming what was searched. check_value says whether a measured value is over each row, converting units exactly or saying why it cannot compare; check_values does it for a table of up to 200 rows in one call, and screen_species looks up a list of up to 500 species in one call; screen_exposure says whether a file's occurrence records publish a listed species at a precision that exposes it. read_certificate reads a laboratory certificate (a PDF, or the lab's XLSX or CSV export) into the rows it prints, each with its page, and checks each row against a place's limits. verify_claim says whether a limit someone stated is one a row prints: confirmed with its cite, contradicted with the numbers held, or not held. build_dwc_archive turns a species occurrence or checklist file into a Darwin Core archive for GBIF, with each thing it could not read coded.","held":{"instruments":247,"rows":98593,"parameters":5889,"places":["CA","CA-AB","CA-BC","CA-MB","CA-NB","CA-NL","CA-NS","CA-NT","CA-NU","CA-ON","CA-PE","CA-QC","CA-SK","CA-YT","CA.nl_offshore_area","CA.ns_offshore_area","DE","EU","FR","IT","IT-34","IT-34.venice_lagoon_catchment","US","US-AK","US-AL","US-AR","US-AZ","US-CA","US-CO","US-CT","US-DC","US-DE","US-FL","US-GA","US-HI","US-IA","US-ID","US-IL","US-IN","US-KS","US-KY","US-LA","US-MA","US-MD","US-ME","US-MI","US-MN","US-MO","US-MS","US-MT","US-NC","US-ND","US-NE","US-NH","US-NJ","US-NM","US-NV","US-NY","US-OH","US-OK","US-OR","US-PA","US-RI","US-SC","US-SD","US-TN","US-TX","US-UT","US-VA","US-VT","US-WA","US-WI","US-WV","US-WY"],"designations":{"registers":34,"entries":213742}},"endpoints":{"find_limits":"https://passage-data.com/api/v1/limits?parameter=ammonia&place=US-OH&medium=surface_water","check_value":"https://passage-data.com/api/v1/check?parameter=copper&value=0.15&unit=mg/L&place=CA-QC&medium=water_discharge","verify_claim":"https://passage-data.com/api/v1/verify?parameter=copper&value=0.10&unit=mg/L&place=CA-QC&medium=water_discharge&statistic=monthly_avg","list_sources":"https://passage-data.com/api/v1/sources?place=CA-QC","get_permit":"https://passage-data.com/api/v1/permits/PA0228061","map_to_darwin_core":{"method":"POST","url":"https://passage-data.com/api/v1/dwc/map","body":{"columns":["nom_latin","date","x","y","effectif"],"sample_rows":"optional"},"what":"the Darwin Core term each column of a species file maps to, the rule and alias that decided it or why not, and the GBIF-required terms no column carries"},"build_dwc_archive":{"method":"POST","url":"https://passage-data.com/api/v1/dwc/archive","body":{"file_url":"https://.../observations.csv","metadata":{"title":"...","abstract":"...","license":"CC-BY-4.0","creator":{"given":"...","sur":"...","organization":"...","email":"..."},"contact":"the same shape"},"chapman_category":"optional, 1-4"},"what":"a Darwin Core archive built from a species file (file_url or content_base64, up to 10 MB) or a list of names (species), as base64 in archive.base64, with each thing the converter could not read coded in could_not_read; Check the cited source before relying on a value. A public document sent to cite_document is kept in our library, to be indexed and read into cited rows; a link on a file-sharing host or carrying a signature or token is never kept. We keep what is asked (tool, place, parameter or species name, outcome), the name and version the calling program gives, the network it calls from (operator and country, as Cloudflare reports them) and how many distinct callers a day; never an IP address, an account or a person. build_dwc_archive and audit_archive: A file this tool reads, sent or fetched from the address given, is read as one dropped on our website: what the read finds (column headings, the shape of its rows, the terms they became, refusal codes) is kept so the reader learns, never the file or its values. Names and contacts are dropped or replaced by a code, and protected species' locations are made coarser."}
